Let's Get Into The Movie
Simon and Robyn are recently married couples. They are currently located in Chicago. After a couple of months, Simon gets a new job in Los Angeles, Due to that, they relocated from Chicago to Los Angeles. One day they went for shopping outside and accidentally met his old High School classmate named Gordon. After their visit, Gordon started sending gifts to their home. Gifts like an expensive bottle of wine and koi fish for the pond in their house. Simon becomes uncomfortable with Gordon's behaviour, but Robyn notices no problems.
One day Gordon invites Simon and wife to his big house. They went to his house the next day. Because of the suspicious behaviour of Gordon, Simon warns him to stay away from his family. On next day, Robyn came to know that the Dog in their house is gone missing. She also notices the dead Koi fishes in the pond. After seeing this, Simon got angry and drives to Gordon's home.
After reaching there he understood that it is not Gordon's actual home. After some days, Robyn felt an unknown presence in their home, when Simon goes for work. She lost her sleep and started to depend on sleeping pills. The missing Dog came to his house back after some days. They also receive an apology letter from Gordon.

Verdict Of The Movie.
The gift is an average movie with some kind of thriller elements.There is no lag felt in the entire movie. You can watch it one time definitely.This movie reveals so many surprises at the climax end.
