Record 9983 new corona cases in 24 hours in the country; total death toll crosses 7 thousand

New Delhi: The rate of corona virus (COVID-19) infection in India is steadily increasing. The country has reported the highest number of 9983 new corona virus infections in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 206 deaths were recorded during this period. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of positive cases in the country now stands at 256611. This includes 125381 active cases, 124095 cured people. So far, a total of 7135 deaths have occurred in India due to corona virus infection. Maharashtra has reported the highest number of infections in the country so far.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, India is the fifth most affected country by the Kovid-19 epidemic after the US, Brazil, Russia and the UK. However, let us know that the number of active coronavirus cases in India is 1,25,381, while 1,24,094 people have recovered and one patient has migrated. A senior health ministry official said, "Thus far, about 48.36 percent patients have been cured."
Out of 206 deaths recorded since Sunday morning, 91 in Maharashtra, 30 in Gujarat, 18-18 in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh 13, 9-9 in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, 4 in Rajasthan, 2 in Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka , Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Punjab. At the same time, out of a total of 7,135, Maharashtra topped with 3,060 deaths. This is followed by 1,249 deaths in Gujarat, 761 deaths in Delhi, 412 deaths in Madhya Pradesh, 396 deaths in West Bengal, 275 deaths in Uttar Pradesh, 269 deaths in Tamil Nadu, 240 deaths in Rajasthan and 123 deaths in Telangana.
There is no havoc in Maharashtra
So far, 3060 people have died due to corona virus infection in Maharashtra. At the same time, 85975 people have been infected by the infection so far. The elderly and children are at the highest risk of infection. In such a situation, children and the elderly are being advised not to leave the house. In view of the prevailing situation of Corona infection in the state, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has announced that police personnel above 55 years of age will be sent on leave in the state with salary. So far, about three thousand policemen have been infected with the Corona Virus in the state, while about 30 jawans have died of infection.
