World champion runner Salwa Eid Nasser suspended in doping case

Women's 400m race world champion Salwa Eid Nasser was temporarily suspended on Friday for not making himself available for the doping test. The Athletics Integrity Unit said it has taken action against the Bahraini sprinter in violation of the rules. If the case is proved then Nasser will not be able to participate in next year's Olympics.
Significantly, Nasser won the world title in October with 48.14 seconds, the fastest time taken by any woman since 1985.
