As such, Kinetic, one of the oldest companies in the world, is reportedly planning to launch its innovative electric two-wheeler in India.
According to Express Drive, Kinetic is set to launch a new electric motorcycle based on one of its most popular products, the Luna Moped. Luna is one of the most famous two-wheeler mopeds in India in the past. This moped was first introduced by Kinetic in 1972.

Launched in the US under the name DFR and in India under the name Luna. The moped Luna is an adaptation of Piaggio's Piaggio Ciao model. That's why Kinetic got a patent from Piaggio and fielded Luna.
Then, it was launched as a 50cc moped. It is in this context that Kinetic Engineering plans to re-enter the Indian two-wheeler market. For this, it has selected the electric vehicle market. It is therefore expected that the Luna electric version will go on sale as soon as possible.
Thus, the soon-to-be-expected Luna electric moped is said to have a 1 kW electric motor. A lithium-ion battery is to be attached to provide the required electrical capacity.

This battery offers a range of up to 80 km on a full charge. Similarly, its electric motor is said to be capable of traveling at a maximum speed of 25 km per hour. In addition, a number of technical features are expected in the Kinetic Luna electric moped.
This electric moped with high technology and range is expected to be priced at Rs. Auto experts estimate that it will fetch up to Rs 50,000. Kinetic Company is developing this new face Luna with the younger generation in mind.
