Erica Fernandes was born on 7th of May 1993 in Mumbai. She belongs to a Konkani Catholic family. Her parents are Lavina and Ralph Fernandes. Her father was a model and interior designer, now he works as manager of his daughter and her mother had worked in a bank and in airlines. She has an elder brother named Jermaine. She likes cooking, painting, dancing and clothes designing very much. She completed her schooling from the Holy Cross High School in Mumbai. She went to the SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce in Mumbai and completed her graduation in Bachelor of Arts. She is a tatoo lover and applied tatoo on both her hands. She was interested in acting and modelling, since from her childhood. She learnt dancing from the Shiamak dance Academy.
Erica made role in tamil films like Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, Vizithiru and Virattu. She appeared in the telgu films like Dega and Galipatam. She acted in popular kannada film Ninndale as lead actress with co-star Shivraj Kumar in 2013 from which she became popular. She appeared in the bollywood movie Babloo Happy Hai by playing the role of Natasha in 2014. She made her debut in Indian Television by playing the role Dr. Sonakshi Bose with co-star Shaheer Sheikh in 2016. She is recently playing the role of Prerna Basu with co-star Parth Samarth in the popular serial Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2. Fans gave them the couple name Anupre. She became very popular by the serial and got good reviews from public.
There was a rumours in TV industry that she was dating her co-star Shaheer Sheikh. She is a dog lover. She was nominated for an award for her role in film Ninndale. She won many awards like Best Fit Actress, Best Actor Female, Best Onscreen Jodhi, Style Diva and Female Actress of the Year.
