Disadvantage of drinking too much tea.


As we all know, tea is one of the most likeable beverage all over the world.

And also in traditional medicine ,tea is used for  healing purpose.

Moderate consumption of tea is very healthy habit. But excessive intake of tea is very dangerous. Exceeding 3--4 cups a day could have some bad effects.

Here are some general bad effects of intake of too much tea.

1) Increased in stress and anxiety 

Naturally tea contains caffeine.This trigger happy hormones in our brain, that's why we like tea. But excesse caffeine also give negative effects. 

Some researchers suggests that over doses of caffeine cause anxiety and restlessness  in most of the people.

2) Heartburn

Caffeine may causes heartburn. Caffeine can relax the sphincter which separates your esophagus from your stomach, this allows easy access of stomach acid to flow from esophagus.

3) Poor sleep 

Melatonin is a hormone which signals the brain to relax and sleep.

Caffeine resist melatonin hormone which keeps us wake up.

That's why we drink tea in the morning. It effects our quality sleep, mental issues and increase risk of poor blood sugar control.

4) Pregnancy complications 

Exposure of high level of caffeine from beverage like tea during pregnancy me increase your complications, such as lowi infant birth weight or miscarriage.

5) Less absorption of nutrients 

Excess intake of tea can reduce absorption of nutrients. Tea contains tannin. Which hampers the absorption of iron from food.

6) Headache 

We drink tea to reduce headache .But when we use  excess intake of caffeine or other sources of caffeine  may leads to discomfort and headache. 


7) Energy less feeling 

When we drink tea than we feel a little bit energetic because tea gives us instant energy, but continuous intake of caffeine cause addiction which is dangerous.


Here, I am not saying that tea is dangerous  it's excess intake is  dangerous.
