Telugu actor Venugopal Kosuri died in Gachibowli in Hyderabad on Wednesday (September 23) from a corona virus in a private hospital. Venugopal Kosuri was 60 years old. According to reports, Venugopal was successfully tested for coronovirus earlier this month after which he was hospitalized. His health condition worsened last week and he succumbed to illness on 23 September.
The death of Venugopal shocked his colleagues in the Telugu film industry. He was suffering from shortness of breath and was on life support for the last 23 days.
Venugopal Kosuri worked in the Telugu film industry for over 26 years. Some of his famous films include Maryada Ramanna, Pila Zamindar, Chalo and many more. He was last seen in Mohana Krishna Indraganti directing Ami Thumi (2017), with Adivasi remaining in the lead role.
Born in Narasapur in West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, Venugopal was a retired Food Corporation of India. He made his debut in the Telugu film industry with a film titled Thegimpu (1994). He was also a part of several television serials.
