Good news from scientists, antibodies will remain for a long time after recovering from corona
The increasing cases of corona every day are surprising. Corona infects have crossed 40 lakhs in the country and the death toll has reached above 70 thousand. Simultaneously, patients recovering from the corona are also worried that they may not become infected again because such a case was reported in America. But there has been good news on this from the scientists, according to which, after the corona is recovered from the corona, antibodies will remain in the body for a long time and there will be no risk of the corona.
This news came from Iceland. Indeed, according to the results of a study done on 30,000 people there, once infected with the coronavirus, antibodies produced in the body can give people immunity for at least four months. It is being said that this is the first such study in the world, in which it is claimed to remain immunity for so long.
The study was carried out by Decode Genetics, a biotech company in Iceland. The results of this study have also been published in The New England Journal of Medicine, which states that 'looking at these results gives hope that the immunity to the coronavirus does not end immediately'.
Recently, there was a case of re-infection from Corona in Hong Kong, in which a young man had recovered from a corona infection and had antibodies against the virus in his body, but he became infected again. In this regard, it was said that the antibodies made in his body ran out in four and a half months.
According to media reports, recently there was antibody-related research at JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, which also included hospital staff who had coronavirus infection and were cured. It was found in the research that out of those who were found to be infected with corona three to five weeks ago, only 90.8 percent of the people had antibodies left. According to research, up to three weeks after infection, the body has the highest number of antibodies, but they also disappear soon.
The element that the immune system produces to fight and neutralize the virus in the body is called an antibody. According to experts, it may take up to one to two weeks for antibodies to be formed in the body after infection. For this, there is a serological test, in which blood samples are tested. It is also called an antibody test. Apart from this, the RT-PCR test is also done to check antibodies in the body.
