The 13th season of the Indian Premier League is to begin in the United Arab Emirates from 19 September. England all-rounder Ben Stokes is finding it a bit difficult to play in this season of IPL. England has announced the squad for the limited-over series against Australia and Ben Stokes is not part of this team.
Stokes, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, is currently in New Zealand with his family. Stokes' father is suffering from brain cancer and is currently with his father.
Given his father's illness, Stokes would like to stay with his family as much as possible. There is currently no official statement from Rajasthan Royals regarding Stokes. The Rajasthan Royals team may announce the replacement of the Stakes soon after the situation is cleared.
