The actor's name has been finalized for the role of Ravana in 'Adipurush', the biggest film to be made on Ram Katha in Hindi cinema. The name was announced on Thursday by the film's director Om Raut and producer Bhushan Kumar. These actors had earlier played the villainous character in Om Raut's film 'Tanaji The Unsung Warrior'.
In a statement issued by the team of the film 'Adipurush', it is said that Saif has been cast in the film for the role of the main villain of this legend which is evil, cruel, and dangerous. The filmmakers have avoided mentioning the name of Saif Ali Khan in this statement but it is now well known that the film 'Adipurush' is the story of Lord Rama and the main villain of Rama's story was Ravana.
Its director Om Raut has been working on the story of the film 'Adipurush' for many months. During the lockdown, he talked to Prabhas for its lead character and Om went and met Prabhas as soon as the air services started in the unlock. Prabhas looked at Om Raut's preparations for the film.
