With “folklore” on a successful tour
Taylor's eighth studio album was released six weeks ago under the name "folklore" and went straight to number one on the Billboard 200 album charts. It has been at the top there ever since. Even though the singer announced the album just a few hours before it was released! So far it is one of the five most successful albums in Taylor's discography.
Broken records after just a week
After just a week, “folklore” is already the best-selling album of 2020, with around two million records sold. On the first day, it achieved over 44 million streams on Spotify, easily overtaking Ariana Grande's “Thank U, Next” (31 million streams on the first day).
