With Monster Hunter Rise coming to the switch next year, fans can look forward to a bevy of new creatures to fight, some guaranteed.

There have been rumors and rumors of the Nintendo switchch Monster Hunter game over the past few days, but fans have finally received an official announcement today about a game called Monster Hunter Rise, as part of a recent Nintendo partner show.

Although Capcom has only shared a short trailer and a brief overview of the unique Monster Hunter Rise Direct, it's clear to see that it's Monster Hunter that many fans know and love, with features one can see in Monster Hunter World and more. At the very least, there are new monsters of all kinds and sizes of players who will follow and fight.

Fans received a glimpse of some of the new animals at the announcement trailer, but series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto went into more detail about them at Monster Hunter Rise Direct. First of all, there is Magnamolo, Fanged Wyvern who is charged as the leading beast in the game. It’s mostly kept in the shadows, rather than the awesome blue light from it giving it a look. In a trailer, it kills another animal using its tail, which may act as a kind of whip.

Next up is the Bird Wyvern named Aknosom, its most recognizable feature is the giant crest on its head. It can change the shape of the crest, or use it as a throwing tool for players or expand it into a fan fan so that it can knock you down. And it can shoot fireballs.

Third is another Bird Wyvern called Great Izuchi, which seems to fly in groups of three, with two smaller animals all the time. They attack with rapid tail movements, either simultaneously or in sequence, requiring players to improve the sense of time.

Finally, there is the Amphibian beast called Tetranadon. It can stretch its body by swallowing stones, before charging hunters. When its body shape changes, as does its attack, which means players will have to change their tactics on the plane to deal with it. Sometimes in the pictures shown, he fights another beast and tries to eat it whole, which is terrible to look at.

The news comes as the development and support of Monster Hunter World comes to an end, however Capcom still has a lot of content to add soon, including the final battle with Elder Dragon Fatalis, which has been a regular series since the first game.

Capcom is definitely gaining fan approval right now, as the announcement follows from yesterday's PlayStation 5 show, in which Capcom introduced the Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition as the theme for the launch of the new console.

Monster Hunter Rise will release on Nintendo switchch on March 26th 2021.
