In this era of remakes, many blockbuster films of the 90's era are being remade along with some great stars. Arjun Sarja starrer Gentleman which was released in 1993, helmed by debutant director Shankar got many lauds. Leading producer K.T. Kunjumon produced Gentleman which went on to become a super hit movie for catching issues like corruption and the Indian education system.
In the film, Arjun Sarja disguises as the modern-day Robinhood who steals from the rich and treats the poor. Gentleman won four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and was also remade in Hindi which starred Chiranjeevi Konidela. Producer K.T. Kunjumon pleasantly surprised the movie buffs when he announced a sequel to the superhit movie Gentleman. After two decades, the film has still rejoiced as one of the most powerful vigilante films ever written in Indian cinema.
KT Kunjumon has recently announced that he will be bankrolling Gentleman 2 under the banner, Gentleman Film International. It will be filmed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The producer took to Twitter to announce the news to all the fans and movie buffs. According to reports, the makers are planning to rope in some big names in Bollywood and other South Indian languages. An official announcement regarding the film’s cast and crew will be made soon. It is still unknown whether Shankar will direct the sequel or not.
