Some tasty stews that are a must try

 

Stews are always a part of our cuisine mainly an integral part of our breakfast and sometimes a part of our dinner too. And mainly in Indian cuisine a wide variety of stews are available. And this stew can go in parallel with any type of food like with chapati, roti, appam and it can go even with white rice. Due to the variable flavors and it's eye soothy colors everyone at home even children can have it. And here a few stews which are really tasty and must try are mentioned below.

  • VEGETABLE STEW

Ingredients

  1. Oil: 10 ml
  2. Cloves, Cardamom - according to taste
  3. Chopped onion: 40 gram
  4. Beans: 15 gram
  5. Potato: 20 gram
  6. Carrot: 20 gram
  7. Ginger: 1 piece
  8. Green chilly: 2
  9. Curry leaves: a hand full
  10. Coconut milk diluted: 150 ml
  11. Coconut milk concentrated: 50 ml

Recipe

Heat a pan and heat the oil. Add cloves and cardamom to it and sauté well. Then add chopped onions and cook for few minutes. Add potato, beans, carrot, ginger, green chilly and sauté them well too. Let them cook for a few minutes and add water accordingly and then sprinkle salt along with curry leaves. Close the lid and let all the ingredients cook well. After proper cooking add diluted coconut milk and cook for few minutes. Then turn off the flame and add the concentrated coconut milk add pour a spoon full of coconut oil and serve hot.

  • CHICKEN STEW

Ingredients

  1. Oil: 10 ml
  2. Cloves and cardamom: according to taste
  3. Chopped onion: 30 gram
  4. Carrot: 15 gram
  5. Boneless chicken: 250 gram
  6. Green chilly: 3
  7. Turmeric powder: 4 gram
  8. Salt and curry leaves: According to taste
  9. Ginger garlic paste: according to taste
  10. Diluted coconut milk: 250 ml
  11. Concentrated coconut milk: 50 ml

Recipe

Heat a pan and add oil to the oil add cloves and cardamom. Add ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and sauté well. Add carrots, chicken and turmeric powder and mix well. Add water and let it cook with lids closed. Add diluted coconut milk and cook for few minutes. Then add concentrated coconut milk after turning off the flame. Serve hot after pouring some oil over it.
