Things to learn from Cast Away Movie!

1) Acceptance:

When Chuck was cast away, he accepted it. When he had to begin isolated life on that unknown island, he accepted. When he had to forget his past life and move on, he accepted. Rather than crying over our situation, if we learn how to accept the change, we can achieve much more.

2) Hope:

Even if there was nothing to eat and drink, even if there was no one to talk, even if it seemed impossible to survive, there was one thing he had- Hope. Hope to live. Hope to meet his love Kelly. Hope has power to conquer all those things that comes between you and your aim. Remember how worried you were at some point and now when you look back, it just seems an easy-peasy situation.

3) Patience:

With hope and acceptance, he had patience. Rather then quitting his life, he waited. He waited for that one moment for years. Things can take time, keep giving efforts, keep trying, have patience, don't just quit and one day you will achieve your goal. Even if you failed, it will maintain your state of mind.

4) Let go:

Remember Wilson? Wilson was his only silent companion with whom he talked. When you live at one place for long time, you just connect with it emotionally. But eventually he had to let it go - the island and Wilson both. Again, the thought of meeting Kelly was his only Hope. But at the end, he had to let her go too.

Things and people can be companion in your worst time, they can be part of your everyday life, but eventually you will understand Life is an act of letting go. Letting go of the regrets, fears, people. And one day, It all just becomes good memories and I guess that's beautiful.

5) Gratitude:

Isn't it beautiful how we automatically wake up at morning and sleep peacefully at night! Scientists have analyzed data of millions of planets but very few planets are sustainable for life. Isn't it beautiful that our earth is one of them! We are so damn lucky.

I think about some people's life and wonder how they can be such kind and optimist under those circumstances. They all have quality of gratefulness.
