Amy Jackson Biography

Amy Jackson (born 31 January 1992 in Douglas, Isle of Man) is a British actress and model, best known for her work in Indian movies. A former Miss Teen World, Amy mainly worked in Tamil movies, but has also appeared in Tollywood, Kannada and Hindi (Bollywood) films. Amy has won an Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award, a SIIMA Award and a London Asian Film Festival award for her work. Amy was included in The Indian news "Times of India’s" "Most Desirable Women of 2012" and "Most Promising Female Newcomers of two thousand twelve" lists.

Jackson started her modelling career at the age of sixteen, and went on to win the Miss Teen World competition in two thousand nine. Subsequently, director A.L. Vijay cast her as the leading actress of the Tamil period drama Madrasapattinam (2010) along with Arya, despite having had no previous acting in movies experience. Amy has since acted in Indian movies of other languages, and many of her notable roles include Hindi films Ekk Deewana Tha (2012) with Prateik Babbar and Singh Is Bliing (2015) with Akshay Kumar, Kannada movie The Villain (2018) with Shiva Rajkumar and Tamil film 2.0 (2018) with Rajinikanth. Also Kollywood filim I 2019 along with Vikram. Jackson is also known for playing the role of Imra Ardeen / Saturn Girl on the 3rd season of American superhero television series Supergirl.

Jackson is a regular participant at BAFTA, Cannes Film Festival, British Fashion Awards, International Fashion Weeks, and has been featured in fashion magazines, together with Vogue, Marie Clare, Cosmopolitan and Hello!. She is additionally also an ambassador of many brands, charities, including PETA, Women's UN for The Sneha Sargar Orphanage and Being Human Foundation.

Amy Jackson mother is Marguerita and father is Alan Jackson an English couple from Liverpool, United Kingdom. She has one elder sister, Alicia, who is also an movie actress.
