credit: third party image referenceDiwali is all about deep cleaning and decluttering. We can call dewali as indian Marie Kondo movement. It is said that Goddess Laxmi does not reside in cluttered and dirty space. She resides in clean and bright spaces. So decluttering and organising should be a continuous process.
Decluttering process starts with deep cleaning every space. Next comes throwing away or donating those unwanted items. While decluttering we should should question ourselves whether we need an item or not, and whether we use it.For decluttering to be successful we should follow a minimalist approach. We should question ourselveshowmanyshoes, clothes, accessori s etc.,we can live without.
Wanting things make us happier than having them.We want an item and crave for it, and purchase it thinking that it may boost our self esteem and make us happy. But it is quite the opposite, the joy is short-lived.What stays with us is a  big hole in our pocket.
Shop wisely and consciously. Think of the financial strain and the burden we create on the environment. Most shopoholics pay money and buy material possessions only to be sad. Thus the shopping spree should not rob our happiness.

Peace comes from within, and not by paying unwanted bills.Throw your credit card and clear your debts.Be careful to see that your personal expenses do not exceed your income.Remember that shopping when you are bored is not therapeutic, but a waste of time and money.
Do not go on a buying spree on festivals. Shopping apps and business houses may attract you in the name of discounts and freebies. But think twice before buying these items. While buying gifts to your friends and dear one's think whether they need the gifted items. Don't gift those items which is tranferred to others. Do not buy sweets and eatables more than what you need. Instead donate clothes, books etc., to those who really need them.
At the same time declutter your mind from grudges and toxic relations.Just as you declutter your shelves declutter your old bad habits.Declutter your mobile and laptop by removing unwanted files, photos etc.
