Esha Gupta Biography

Esha Gupta born on 28 November 1985 in capital of India, Bharat is an Indian movie actress, model and she won the Miss India International title of 2007. She worked mainly in Bollywood films. Esha joined the Femina Miss India contest in 2007, where she placed 3rd and won the Miss India International title, and later represented India at Miss International pageant. Esha soon received offers for movie roles, and made her acting debut in the 2012 commercially Hit crime thriller Emraan Hashmi movie Jannat 2, that fetched her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Gupta received praise for her portrayal in the political drama Arjun Rampal's movie Chakravyuh (2012) but her performance in the comedy Saif Ali Khan's movie Humshakals (2014) met with negative reviews. Her highest-grossing releases came with the horror thriller Emraan Hashmi's Raaz 3D (2013), the crime drama Akshay Kumar's Rustom (2016), Ajay Devgan's Baadshaho (2017), and the comedy movie Total Dhamaal (2019).

Esha was born in New Delhi, India. Her father is a retired Air Force Officer and her mother is a homemaker. She has a sister named Neha Gupta. She spent most of her childhood in Dehradun, Hyderabad, India and Delhi, India. She has completed Mass Communication degree from School of Communication, Manipal University, Manipal, India prior to auditioning for Femina Miss India, and got a law scholarship at Newcastle University, but she pursued a career in Bollywood movies instead.
