How to maintain a healthy diet everyday?

The things you eat in your day to day life is very important, eating healthy will lead you to a healthy life, and it is very important to have a healthy life. It will improve your strength and will reduce the causes of heart problems and pain in your joints and chronic conditions like diabetes .

Here are some ways to keep you healthy, and try to include at least 5 of these in your everyday life:

1 . Make your half plate of fruits and vegetables:

Choose vegetables like carrot, radish,cucumber and lots of green leafy vegetables along with fruits like orange, apple and banana as a side dish or dessert.

2 . Eat whole grains for 1 meal a day:

Switch your food from refined grains to whole grains for example stop using white bread and start using whole wheat bread,when you pick items, read the ingredients list and choose the one with whole grain in it.

3 . Try to have fat free or low-fat milk:

Milk with fat or milk with less fat both have the same amount of calcium and other vitamins but the milk without fat has less calories and has less saturated fat.

4 . Choose food with high protein:

Have food which is high in protein such as meat,poultry,eggs,seeds,beans,peas and nuts.

5 . Use less sodium products:

Use the Nutrition Facts label to choose lower sodium versions of food like soup,bread and frozen meal.. Eat food which have low sodium in it.

6 . Drink water more and sugary drinks less:

Drink water to to lower your calories from sugary drinks. Soda,energy drinks, and sports drinks are the causes of extra calories in our everyday diet.To add a little flavor in your water , add a slice of lemon, a mint or a basil.

7 . Add some seafood to your meal:

Seafood has proteins and minerals. Adults should at least eat 2 kg's of seafood per week and children could eat less than that. Seafood includes prawns,salmon, crab,oyster,tuna,shellfish and shrimps.
