credit: third party image reference(jagran.com)We are so happy to find that our one of the beautiful festival is closer and we start our preparation for diwali but you just first know that before diwali their is choti diwali or we call it Naraka chaturdas.In this day people celebrate it with decorations or rangolee with lightning of home and many more .As choti diwali is celebrate between dhanteras and diwali people prepare themselves on choti diwali day .lets try to find why do we celebrate choti diwali so according to mythological legends there was demon King Narakasur ruler of south Nepal and he defeated lord krishna and other dieties .He also imprisoned 16,000 daughter of many god and he had snatched earrings of goddess Aditi know as a mother of all god and goddess. and then god lord Krishna defeated demon king Narakasur and Freed all imprisoned daughters of many god also recover earrings of goddess Aditi. on this day so because of lord Krishna victory people start celebrating this day as choti diwali or Naraka chaturdadhi.And this choti diwali day is also know as Bali Pratipada (which means some one under the foot of challenger).According to one other story that King Bali was very influential and all god feared that he might conquered all loaks and become king of all loaks and rule in wrong way .to combat all god fear lord krishna went to him in vamana avatar and asked him to give him just 3 foot of his kingdom. And Bali was mighty and to his pride as he thinks lord krishna as beggar then he agreed to give any thing begged by for .lord Krishna cover two loaks with his two footsteps and ask bali to where he kept his third footsteps and Bali was terrified and he finally know his mistake and ask lord Krishna to put third step in bali head and lord krishna win all loaks .people start celebrating choti diwali as victory of goodness over greed or badness.
