1. Dexter's Laboratory (1996–2003)
"DeeDee, GET OUT OF MY LABORATORY!"
Dexter's Laboratory has been one of Cartoon Network's most successful and first original series, it worked for both the kids and adults. The series was animated in a stylized way and had simple lines which struck cord with the entire family. The show encouraged and inspired creativity, and also took a funny take on sibling rivalry through the eyes of Dexter who comes across as an anti-social genius kid. The show is quite a classic and we can easily say that Dexter the boy-genius is one of the greatest comic character of the 90s.

2. SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron (1993-1994)
Chance Furlong and Jake Clawson, the Swat Kats are vigilante pilots with a state-of-the-art fighter jet with an array of weaponry who protect the Megakat City. Swat Kats had outstanding action put together along with moral sense, valour, fantasy, mystery and humour.Music played a major role in the success of the show. The show has a good number of loyal following in spite of a very short run on TV.

3. Dragon Ball Z (1989-1996)
This iconic Japanese anime series (manga) follows the adventures of the Goku who, along with his companions, defends the Earth against an assortment of villains ranging from intergalactic space fighters and conquerors, unnaturally powerful androids and near indestructible magical creatures. The show talks quite a lot about relationships, friendship, loyalty and courage which makes an emotional connect with the viewers. We still have a cult fan following for Dragon Ball Z and it is one of the greatest TV shows of the 90s.

4. Courage the Cowardly Dog (1999-2002)
This supernatural comedy show, about a cowardly anthropomorphic dog often thrown into bizarre misadventures is known for its surreal and dark humour. The look of the show was also quite weird and ethereal as the plot itself. Courage's dialogue decreased after the first season, as the makers thought that Courage "talked too much" and wanted his dialogue cut short. This show had an appeal across the ages due to its intelligent dark humour .

5. Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy (1999–2009)
Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy revolves around the day-to-day life of three friends who have exactly the same name. The series had some cool colourful bizarre animation and was widely appreciated for its fresh approach. This show was Cartoon Network’s longest airing shows and the trademark being all the characters having different tongue colours .The Humour of the show had a wide appeal, and each and every character had a depth and personality attached to them which helped it to connect well with the people.

And the fact is that this show was created by Danny Antonucci out of a dare given to him.
