 In such a situation, the government is planning something that can reduce the prices of onions. It is reported that with the step of the government, onion prices can reach 20 to 25 rupees before the new year.

In fact, the government company has contracted to get 12,500 tonnes and onions to bring down the onion prices. The bulk of 12,000 tonnes of foreign onions will arrive in the country before 31 December. It is believed that by next week, it can reach 80 rupees per kg. While by mid-January 2020, wholesale prices are expected to come to Rs 20-25 per kg in Lasalgaon, Asia's largest onion market in Maharashtra. At the same time, due to citizenship law, there has been a decrease in the arrival of onions, due to which the prices of onion have increased.
