Sachin Tendulkar wins Laureus Sporting Moment award for 2011 World Cup triumph


Batsman Sachin Tendulkar was selected for the Laureus Sporting Moment Award from 2000 to 2020. With the support of Indian fans, Tendulkar got the most votes for this award. Lamhe, who was associated with Tendulkar in the context of India's 2011 World Cup victory, was given the title 'Carried on the Shoulders of a Nation'.

In 2011, Sachin Tendulkar became a member of the team that won the world title, playing in their sixth World Cup. The members of the Indian team then raised Tendulkar in the shoulder and put a 'lap of honor' on the field and during this time tears were falling from the eyes of the legendary batsman.
