An online chess exhibition featuring six top Indian players, including former world champion Viswanathan Anand, has raised ₹4.5 lakh for PM CARES Fund to aid in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. So far, India has reported over 8,440 cases of the virus with at least 273 deaths. All sporting events have been either cancelled or suspended over COVID-19.
