Recently, the Indian government banned many mobile apps. This includes everything from gaming apps to dating, business, and other apps. But everywhere the discussion of pubg mobile game ban is being done. PUBG Mobile is owned by the Chinese company Tencent. PUBG's revenue share in India is less than five percent. But the ban on PUBG has dealt a major blow to the company.
Tencent has suffered a major setback due to the ban on PUBG. Recently, Tencent's market capitalization (market position) has come down by Rs 2.48 lakh crore, the second-biggest decline this year. According to Bloomberg, the company incurred a loss of Rs 4.81 lakh crore when US President Donald Trump banned its app WeChat.
Most users in India Launched in the year 2018, PUBG had the highest number of users in India till 2020. Out of the total users of the world, India has 24 percent users, while China has 16 percent. In the US, this figure is 6.4 percent.
The highest revenue from China On the other hand, if we talk about the revenue, then the maximum i.e. 52% of the revenue is coming from China. 14 percent from the US and 5.6 percent from Japan.
According to Piyush Kumar, CEO of Rooters, a gaming streaming site in India, 'Talking of just PUBG in India, this game has 17.5 million downloads, of which active users are around 750 lakhs. More people play PUBG in India than in China. But in terms of earnings, it is much less than India. This is because the number of players playing games is less in India than spending money.
