Moong dal pakoras are fritters made with skinned green gram, which is soaked for an hour in hot water, coarsely ground with dry red chilies and then finely chopped onions, a coarse paste of garlic-ginger-curry leaves are added and seasoned with black salt, turmeric powder, asafetida, and little bit dry mango powder. Deep-fried until it’s crispy. It is served with a sprinkling of chaat masala.

Recipe:
1. Soak yellow split lentils for 4/5 hrs or overnight. Wash it thoroughly and then grind it to a nice paste(not too runny). To grind add very little water. Take it out in an open dish(bowl) and whisk it nicely to make it a little fluffy.
3. Heat oil and then lower the heat and then on medium heat start dropping the small balls of the ready mixture with your hands or with a spoon as you prefer and fry them till golden brown.
