Dry veg Manchurian! This is the Indo Chinese starter dish where fried vegetable balls are coated with a thick, flavorful sauce. Since this is the dry version there is no gravy. Dry Manchurian is one of the best Chinese food. It's a perfect combination of all the flavors.
Ingredients:
For Manchurian Balls:
- 1/3 cup Maida (all-purpose flour)
- 2 tablespoons Cornflour (corn starch)
- 3/4 cup grated Carrot
- 3/4 cup grated Cabbage
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Capsicum
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped Spring Onion
- 2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon + for deep frying Cooking Oil
- Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Pepper Powder
For Spicy Saute:
- 1 medium Red Onion, diced
- 1/2 cup Green Capsicum (bell pepper), diced
- 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped Ginger
- 2 Green Chillies, slit and cut in halves
- 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped Garlic
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped Spring Onion
- 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon Chilli Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Tomato Ketchup
Instructions:
1. Firstly take a bowl and add ur favorite vegetables here I have added chopped onion, capsicum, grated carrots, grated cabbage, spring onions, some beans, and peas or any other vegetable of ur choice. Now put some salt as per taste and 2tsps of butter. And mix it well till the butter gets nicely mixed up. Now add Maida, cornstarch put as much as required to bind all the veggies together. Now bind all the things together but don't make it stiff.
3. Now let's make the sauce - take a pan and add 2 tsp oil, then put some chopped garlic, ginger, onion, and spring onion whites, saute it nicely, then add capsicum.stir well. Now add 1 tsp soya sauce, chili sauce, and 2tsp ketchup. Then add some salt and chili flakes as per taste. Mix it well. Cook for 2 minutes and then add cornflour slurry. Stir till it gets thickens. Now add the veggie balls and mix well. Lastly, add some spring onion greens and coriander and mix well.
