Talking about the features, Hornet 2.0 has a USD fork, which has been seen for the first time in the bike of this segment. The motorcycle has a reverse LCD instrument cluster, which features a gear position indicator, service due indicator and battery voltmeter. Apart from this, this new bike of Honda has features like LED indicators, Hazard Lamp and Sealed Chain.

Atsushi Ogata, the company's president and chief executive officer, said, "This is the beginning of a new era of expansion of its portfolio for Honda to cater to a wide range of customers in India." He said that it will also be exported from India to global markets. In response to a question, Ogata said that the company will offer many more models of premium category in the coming time.

HMSI sales and marketing director Yadvinder Singh Guleria said that the company will bridge the portfolio gap between the initial category, middle category and premium category. Prior to this, the company has been selling 160 cc Hornet 160R in India. Due to the permission to sell only BS-6 vehicles from April 1 in the current year, the company removed it from the market.

Booking for Honda Hornet 2.0 starts. Delivery of the bike will begin in September. The bike is available in four color options. Honda's new bike market will compete directly with bikes like TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS 200.
