Purbi Joshi is an Indian TV actress and voice-dubbing actress who mainly speaks Hindi, comedian, performer, and anchor of television shows. Purbi Joshi is the daughter of Bollywood actors Pravin Joshi and Sarita Joshi. She has one sister of Ketki Dave.
In 1995, Purbi Joshi got her 1st break in the TV show Faasle. Purbi begins her career as a model in commercials for brands like Happy Dent chewing gum, Nirma Washing Powder, and Thompson Television. She did the lead role in the Doordarshan TV channel series Dishayein. She did the double (Dual) role of twin sisters. The show was a hit initially. In 2008, Purbi participated in Mr. & Miss TV, a celebrity talent competition which Purbi won and was declared "Miss TV". Purbi is most well known for her association with the award-winning comedy show Comedy Circus. Purbi hosted many seasons of Comedy Circus and performed as an integral member of the principal cast. Purbi was also a part of MTV India's 1st spoof film of the popular Bollywood movie franchise Dhoom in the TV movie, Ghoom. Her biggest hit so far has been an amazing performance as a Gujarati Indian American working family lady in “metro park”, the show aired on Eros now and is now also available on Apple TV. The show has received positive reviews and expected to return soon for a 2nd season.

Purbi was also part of an ensemble cast in the critically acclaimed independent movie Dasvidaniya released in 2008. Purbi made her major movie debut role in 2011 as the lead actress in Damadamm! on the big screen opposite singer/actor Himesh Reshammiya, also lending her voice to the song, "Umrao Jaan" in the film.
