Nargis Fakhri (born on October 20, 1979 in Queens, New York City, New York, U.S.) is an American and Indian movie actress and model, who mainly appears in Hindi and English-language movies. Her 1st role in the movie came with the 2011 romantic drama Rockstar along with Ranbir Kapoor, for which she was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Nargis played the role of a war correspondent in the political thriller movie Madras Cafe (2013) and starred in the commercially Hit comedies Main Tera Hero (2014), Spy (2015, her 1st Hollywood production), and Housefull 3 (2016).
Fakhri started dating Bollywood actor and Producer Uday Chopra in 2014. The relationship attracted so much Indian media coverage in India and they speculated on an impending marriage. However, the couple broke up at the end of the 2017 year. In May 2018, Nargis confirmed and announced her relationship with American filmmaker Matt Alonzo on Instagram.

Nargis was born on October 20, 1979, in Queens, New York City, to Mohammed Fakhri, and Marie Fakhri, a former police officer. Her father is a Pakistani citizen, and her mother is Czech. She has 01 younger sisters, Aliya. Fakhri's parents divorced when she was 06 age, and her father died some years later. Nargis begin her career as a model at the age of sixteen. In her later years, she appeared as a contestant on the 2nd and 3rd cycle of America's Next Top Model (2004). Fakhri's fame increased when she appeared in a highly popular Indian print campaign for the 2009 Kingfisher Calendar. Her appearance in the Kingfisher Calendar attracted the attention of Indian filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Imtiaz selected her for a role in the Bollywood romantic drama Rockstar along side of Ranbir Kapoor. Fakhri later said that she agreed to work in India so that she could "relate to her culture" and get "close to her roots Pakistan", because India and Pakistan share similar cultures.
