But now that the Magnite compact SUV has come out with more details, it sheds light on several important details.
The Nissan Magnite measures 3,998 mm long, 1,758 mm wide, 1,572 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It's not much more than other compact SUVs, but it's compatible with rivals Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet, Tata Nexon and Maruti Vitara Brezza.
Sources confirm that Nissan Magnite will be one of the lightest compact SUVs for sale in India, and this feature is likely to share the vehicle with its cousin Renault Kaiger.

The curb weight of the 1.0 liter naturally aspirated petrol version is 939 kg, the 1.0 Turbo-Manual version is 1,014 kg and the 1.0 Turbo-CVT version is 1,039 kg.
Nissan has given the Magnite a 40 liter fuel tank capacity. All versions come in 195/60-section tires with 16-inch steel wheels or alloys, depending on the variant.
Although it was known that Nissan Magnite would come with two 1.0-liter petrol engine options, their exact power outputs have now been revealed. The naturally aspirated three cylinder petrol engine produces 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. It is only available with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Combined with a five-speed manual gearbox, the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. These numbers are class-leading or, at the very least, combined with low performance.

The Magnite 1.0 Turbo is also available with a CVT automatic transmission, which raises the maximum torque to 152 Nm.
In all three versions of the Nissan Magnite, the ARAI certifies a mileage of 17.7 km per liter in the turbo-CVT combination. Naturally Aspirated 1.0 petrol offers 18.75 kmph per liter.
The 1.0 turbo manual with a range of 20 km per liter is the highest mileage model of the magnet.
As previously revealed, the Nissan Magnite will be available in a total of four trim levels, with manufacturers adding a handful of feel-good features to the vehicle using a tech pack option.
The Nissan Magnite is expected to start at Rs 5.3 lakh, while the fully loaded Turbo-CVT version will be priced at Rs 7.5 lakh ex-showroom.
