Sanya Malhotra (born in 25 February 1992 on Delhi, India) is an Indian actress mainly worked in Hindi films. After begins her movie debut with the role of Babita Kumari in the Aamir Khan's sports movie Dangal (2016), she also worked in in the comedy-drama Ayushmann Khurana movie Badhaai Ho (2018), both movies was blockbuster. She was nominated for the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for playing a student who befriends a street photographer in the drama Nawazuddin Siddiqui's movie Photograph (2019) and received appreciation for her supporting role in the biopic Shakuntala Devi (2020) Vidya Balan movie and recent movie Ludo (2020).
Sanya is a trained dancer in contemporary dance and ballet danve. After completing her graduation, Malhotra participated in the dance reality Television show Dance India Dance and made it to the top 100. She moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, India where she started appearing in auditions and started assisting camera persons for TV ads. Sanya was later contacted by the film casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
